Jen McLachlan grew up in Scotland and trained with Scottish Ballet until moving to London to complete her training at London Contemporary Dance School. Following graduation from Transitions Dance Company she worked as a dancer, administrator and teacher for eleven years. In 2000 she joined Arts Council England as lead officer for the development of moving image and dance and in 2005 joined the Australia Council for the Arts as its Director of Dance. Jen returned to the UK in 2008 and is working as a consultant to a number of arts organisations across Europe; and as Development Manager for the R-Research department of Wayne McGregor | Random Dance since its inception in 2009.
