The design collective "Tomato" was formed in 1991 by Steve Baker, Dirk Van Dooren, Karl Hyde, Rick Smith, Simon Taylor, John Warwicker and Grahame Wood. Jason Kedgley and Michael Horsham later joined them in 1994 and 1996, respectively.
The conceptual approaches and techniques of "tomato" works are based on individual experiences, journeys and perceptions. These are applied to designs created in different media forms which, in turn, adapt to the differing needs of the designer, client and viewer.
As a co-founder John Warwicker is a well recognised and high-profile member of and spokesperson for "Tomato". He has given lectures and seminars in a variety of countries and continues to work on a wide range of projects. Before co-forming "Tomato", John was Head of Art and Video at A&M Records and reative Director at Vivid i.d.
For Wayne McGregor | Random Dance, John Warwicker has provided the graphic design and video for AtaXia.
