ENTITY Think-Tank (November 2007)

An interdisciplinary 'brain storming' session to envision autonomous adaptive agents that can generate unique solutions to choreographic problems alongside McGregor's own creative decision-making. Attended by an invited group of specialists from various fields including artificial intelligence, cognitive science, robotics, choreography and dance, neurophysiology, interface research and digital arts. Funding provided by the Gulbenkian Foundation.


Of the Heart (2004-2005)

Documentation Website

A research cooperation involving cardiologists and heart specialists leading to the creation of a new collaborative dance work. The documentation website includes video interviews with all participants. Funding provided by Wellcome Trust.

Choreography and Cognition (2002-2004)

Documentation Website

A joint research project seeking connections between creativity, choreography and the scientific study of movement and the mind. The documentation website includes a large number of articles, links to all collaborators and an on-line experiment. Joint funding provided by Arts Council England and the Arts and Humanities Research Board.
