Wayne McGregor starred in 3D Film at Hayward Gallery, Stairwell:
A rare event: McGregor performed in his own work at the Hayward Gallery’s 'Move: Choreographing You' exhibition (13 October – 9 January). McGregor featured in one of the exhibition’s new commissions 'Stairwell'; a collaborative 3D film, screened over 3 floors, made by the New York-based digital artists (and geniuses), the OpenEnded Group.

Wayne McGregor hosted First Sundance Institute Theatre Lab in East Africa:
Sundance Institute launched its inaugural Sundance Institute Theatre Lab in East Africa, in July 9-29, 2010 on the island of Manda off the coast of Kenya. Wayne McGregor provided his Lamu studio, Akili, as a rehearsal space for the artists. Since its creation in 2006, Akili has played host to over 60 international artists from across the artistic fields.

New work for New York City Ballet – OUTLIER - premiered on May 14 2010:
Wayne McGregor made his debut with The New York City Ballet, to Thomas Ades' Violin Concerto. This was the first original work that Wayne had created for an American dance company.

UK premiere of La Danse, April 23 2010:
A unique opportunity to watch Wayne at work with the Paris Opera Ballet, on his acclaimed Genus. The three-hour-long documentary by Frederick Wiseman was an exclusive insight into the workings of the established and internationally respected ballet company of the Paris Opera.

Wayne McGregor won a Critics Circle Award - Best Classical Choreography - for Infra. Dame Monica Mason, director of The Royal Ballet, collected the award on his behalf.

Wayne McGregor's new work with The Australian Ballet, titled Dyad 1929, opened in Melbourne on the 21st of August. The piece is part of the Concord season.
